Semantics of the Word in Children's Speech

Abstract

The features of the assimilation of the semantics of the word by children are described. It is highlighted that the semantic side of children's speech develops gradually and is closely related to the child's cognitive experience. For quite a long time, children note in the names of objects and phenomena of reality only the meaningful components of the word and the most important semantic features, which they unconsciously orient themselves in the process of nomination.
